Quick. If you are thinking of finally collecting the internet sales taxes that Minnesota should have been collecting all along, what is the first thing you would think of to do with it?
Payback on the school shift?
Property tax relief?
Infrastructure repairs?
Well, in Rep. Steve Drazkowski's world that would be silly. The first idea he has is...wait for it....
A gun, ammo, and hunter tax holiday!
Really?
Does Drazkowski get a lot of letters about that? Does he hear some kind of groundswell of support for more guns to be out there? Or is this some kind of sick joke?
I don't know why the GOP Legislature, who just got done borrowing their way to a balanced budget, can't just accept fair new revenue and do the proper thing for the state budget. Use it to prevent more debt. Prevent more education gaps. Fix the holes.
GOP representatives. More of the crazy.
