New Polls: Unions Winning -Walker Do-Over -Tax the Rich

Here is a very interesting poll question...(and keep this in mind, this was done by Rasmussen Reports, a right leaning pollster):

Question: Suppose one candidate for office promised to oppose all tax increases and another said he would raise taxes only on the rich. For whom would you vote?

Tax Only the Rich - 45%
No Taxes ..............41%
Not Sure.................15%

Wow. That is interesting. Rasmussen says that 45% is the highest number for this question in two years.

Is Dayton ahead of the curve?

Now couple this with this Pew Poll:

By a modest margin, more say they back Wisconsin?s public employee unions rather than the state?s governor in their continuing dispute over collective bargaining rights. Roughly four-in-ten (42%) say they side more with the public employee unions, while 31% say they side more with the governor, Scott Walker, according to the latest Pew Research Center survey, conducted Feb. 24-27 among 1,009 adults.

And then there is the Public Policy Poll about Wisconsin wanting a do-over on the November election:

We'll have our full poll on the Wisconsin conflict out tomorrow but here's the most interesting finding: if voters in the state could do it over today they'd support defeated Democratic nominee Tom Barrett over Scott Walker by a a 52-45 margin.

Could it be that Republicans have planted their flag on the wrong piece of ground?
